Marine Systems has created four new measuring locations with six sensors on the Krammersluizen in October 2023 (to measure the temperature and conductivity of the water). The new realized measuring locations are all located on the side of the Oosterschelde. The project was carried out on behalf of Rijkswaterstaat.

The push barge locks of the Krammersluis complex will be equipped with a new fresh-salt separation system. This innovative system will lead to a different lock and water management compared to the existing system. The new lock and water management system has effects on the salt intrusion into the Volkerak-Zoommeer and on the quantities of fresh water that is diverted and discharged to the Oosterschelde. At the beginning of 2022, Marine Systems already realized four new measuring locations on/around the Krammersluizen for the new lock and water management system.

Marine Systems was responsible for the realization of the complete electrical equipment (including the design) and the installation of the equipment on the locations. The overall project was carried out in collaboration with BrandSafway and van der Straaten.  In addition to the realization, Marine Systems carries out the management and maintenance (preventive and corrective maintenance) of these sensors and locations.
