Marine Systems has developed an laboratory container for Rijkswaterstaat.

The laboratory containers are used on ships and serve to take water samples to subsequently investigate the water quality. These measurements are carried out in both salt and freshwater environments. The water is sucked in by a pump and tapped at the sampling area. Marine Systems has designed, built, tested and delivered this laboratory container (various and multiple versions). Marine Systems builds 10ft, 20ft and 40ft laboratory containers.

Installed in the laboratory containers are, among other things, a SCADA system, downflow unit, laboratory work surface and pumping unit with associated pipework. Additionally, the containers have a manual sliding door, electrical connecting door, various windows and are equipped with an extensive lacquer system. These containers can of course be designed completely according to your desires.

The assignment consisted of:

  • Engineering laboratory container (sketch, preliminary and final design);
  • Construction of laboratory container;
  • FAT and SAT;
  • Delivery on location.

Now that the laboratory container will be used by Rijkswaterstaat, Marine Systems will be partner in relation to the maintenance in the next 15 years.
