Marine Systems has frequently carried out maintenance on containers on behalf of various customers. To be able to make a suitable proposal, measurements (on location) are taken first. During one of the recordings, it was found, among other things, that the general condition of both the sheet metal and the preservation were not ideal. Based on the recordings, a proposal was made, and the following activities were carried out after approval:
- Removing affected plating;
- Removing flaking paint parts and rust formation; Provide the outside of the entire container with a three-layer lacquer system;
- Supplying and installing typesetting (to prevent moisture between the plating);
- Installing metal sheeting on the sides of the container to protect the container against activities on deck;
- Restoration of the upright skirting boards on the inside.
